Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We may collect contact details, billing details, support messages, and technical information needed to operate the website, deliver the software, and respond to customers.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide access to PDF Engineer, process subscriptions, improve the product, communicate product updates, and respond to support requests.

3. Customer Files and Drawing Data

Engineering drawings and project files remain your content. We only use uploaded or shared material as needed to deliver the service, troubleshoot support issues, or comply with legal obligations.

4. Website Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand website traffic, page views, referrers, device and browser types, general location, and which pages or articles visitors read. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and provides aggregated analytics that are not tied to an identifiable visitor. We may also use first-party analytics to record whether the site had visitors on a given day and which page path was visited. We may use search engine webmaster tools, including Bing Webmaster Tools, to review aggregated search performance, query impressions, clicks from search results, indexed pages, and crawl issues.

5. Cookies and Browser Storage

We do not currently use advertising cookies or analytics cookies on the public website. The site may use browser storage for limited functionality, including a local analytics marker that helps avoid sending the same daily visitor heartbeat repeatedly from the same browser.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that support payment processing, email delivery, hosting, analytics, and customer support operations.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect account and support data. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, support customers, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

9. Contact

If you have privacy questions, contact us through the support page on the PDF Engineer website.
